Stop the Presses!

By Cassandra D

Fox News says global warming is real and is caused by humans. Not only that, but the accompanying sidebar has links to all sorts of scary articles about global warming problems and predictions.

What happened to the folks at Fox? Are they sick or something?

maybe they just realized that their viewers live inland, and will feel a lot smarter than the coasties with that news.

Wouldn't it be lovely if the folks at Fox News would also turn to cannabilism (like the Polar Bears) and start off with Ann Coulter as the appetizer?

Cassandra must have missed the heavily-promoted FOX News 2-hour special on global warming that aired, like, a year ago. Before "An Inconvenient Truth" even.

It's easy to miss such an anomaly when you don't watch. What else have they aired about global warming since last year mr. dirt?

You didn't have to watch. It was widely discussed across the blogosphere and national media. As to your last question, I'm not sure. I don't watch them that much, either. I read books -- about the only TV I see are episodes of "LOST" on my DVR.

The weird thing is that sometimes Fox does carry the most non rightwardly biased coverage. I remember during the presidential campaign that the other networks seemed sooo afraid of being criticized by right wingers that they looked gun-shy. And sometimes, particularly after the debates, Fox was harsher on Bush than they were. Of course I figured that it was all a ploy to get Republicans worried that he might lose so that they would go to the polls. Crafty little devils.
