Okay, Congress. Get to Work.

By Cassandra D

Oversight can't come a moment too soon. From the New York Daily News:

"President Bush has quietly claimed sweeping new powers to open Americans' mail without a judge's warrant, the Daily News has learned.

"The President asserted his new authority when he signed a postal reform bill into law on Dec. 20. Bush then issued a 'signing statement' that declared his right to open people's mail under emergency conditions."

Well I guess I'm a P.O.W. now.

I heard Professor Turley tonight on Olberman's show discussing this topic. He said it was like deciding to play with a beach ball in the middle of baseball season.
