Day-Oh No

So, the far right has its Pat Robertsons making cringe-worthy remarks, and the far left has .... um, the guy who sang "The Banana Boat Song?"

Belafonte Calls Bush 'Greatest Terrorist'

From AP:

"The American singer and activist Harry Belafonte led a delegation of Americans ... that met the Venezuelan president (Hugo Chavez) for more than six hours late Saturday. Some in the group attended Chavez's television and radio broadcast Sunday.

"'No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W. Bush says, we're here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people ... support your revolution,' Belafonte told Chavez during the broadcast."

Puh-leaze. Dumbya might just be the most dangerous president we've been saddled with since Tricky Dick but giving in to that sort of hyperbole on the international stage is sheer stupidity, and does nothing but urge skeptics to tune you out. Until Dumbya sends commercial airlines into skyscrapers, I'm placing my bets on bin Laden being "the world's greatest terrorist."

Stick to Calypso, Harry.

Simply more confirmation that members of the gliberatti do not share the values of mainstream Americans (whether they be Democrats or Republicans). Indeed members of the gliberatti are completely hostile to the American experiment, as they increasingly demonstrate in word and deed day after day.

Oooh, are we coining today? What would the Gliberatti have to say about the Pomposorazzi and the Spinnofarians? Or the Lobbyrinthians and the Sansabeltwayfarers?

I think they'd all say those are all incredibly moronic labels generated by someone absorbed in their own hipness unto death, postmodern pap they like to think of as a genuine life of the mind. I think they'd also say their cute nickname is vastly superior, because everything about the gliberatti stands high on Mount Olympus, looking down on plodding Jesusland below... But, hey, I'm only guessing. You would know better, because you're obviously among the select. So tell us, please, oh wise fake named one....
